I'm Shawn Bowers and I'm Colin Hogan and we're Scuba Mission. We're a two-man, single-brain comedy thing based in Chicago, Illinois, home of wind, buildings and tall pizzas.

We've done a bunch of crap in the past and continue to do more. You may have seen our hit show "Timeless Is More." You may have seen us performing around town, or out touring, or in videos on the web. We're like a plague of comedy, infecting all the lands.

Like us on Facebook, because we love you in real life.

Did you know that we’ve been shooting something for the last month?  Well, we have.  We’re telling you now.  So the next time we ask you, you can say yes.

We started discussing and plotting at the end of last year to do a longer thing, an actual pilot, instead of the shorts that we normally do.  Turns out, putting together a pilot takes some work!  It requires people and places and all sorts of other things that we weren’t generally using for our other videos.  So we took a couple of weekends in April and went out and shot and reshot and reshot some more until we got something that we feel represents what it is we’re trying to do.  Which, as you know, generally involves being idiots.

Take a peek at the trailer above, there’s more stuff coming in the next few weeks leading up to the premiere in June.  SHARE IT AROUND IF YOU SO PLEASE.

Our friends in Oh Theodora asked us to come out and show a video for the March edition of their Show Theodora, a fun comedy/variety show that happens every month at Fizz Bar in Chicago.  While it was a live premiere at the time, we thought Mother’s Day would be the perfect day to share it with the rest of the world since we go to great surgical lengths in this video to play a hilarious prank on Colin’s mom.

And for those of you who have sent us concerned e-mails…we got the reversal surgery. Everything’s fine.

The web loves internet duets.  Like Zooey and Joseph-Gordon.  We’re the new them, kind of.

To clarify, Shawn portrays the roles of Chris Tucker and Security Guard.  Colin portrays Jackie Chan, Brett Ratner, Stewardess, Don Cheadle and Script Assistant.  We both portray ourselves, respectively.

We’re apart this time around, but we’ve still come together to do one of our favorite scenes, The Astronaut and the General.  We’re amazing!

We really nailed it with Joke Night, we think.  Like…we’re not really “jokey” guys, but we think we wrote some solid punch lines and set-ups, etc.  What a fun annual tradition!

During our time in Indianapolis, Scuba Mission stopped by the NCAA Hall of Champions.  That means that in two trips to Indy, we’ve filmed segments at two museums (this one and the Children’s Museum).  WHAT’S NEXT, HUH MUSEUMS?!

NUVO Gives Scuba Mission 4 Stars!

From this week’s NUVO - Indy’s Alternative Voice:

Shawn Bowers and Colin Hogan performed for only a handful of people on IndyFringe’s opening night, which is a shame because they delivered a hilarious sketch show that would have generated laughter heard up and down Mass Ave had it been in front of a full house. The two Chicagoans demonstrate mighty improv talent and strong chemistry during a series of fast-paced sketches exploring working life and under-employment. Of particular appeal  and absurdity  is the “Surf Shirt Lawyer/Volleyball Attorney at Law” sketch. Perhaps the 10:30 start time is to blame for the sparse opening night crowd. Whatever the case, add this show to your must- see list. - Matt McClure

Thanks for the kind words, Matt McClure!  You helped us get a lot more audience than we would have had otherwise!

We know a lot of you like to watch our videos at work, so we took that feedback to heart and created a completely silent Scuba Mission video that you don’t have to turn the volume up to enjoy.  SO WATCH IT.

Our new show at the Indy Fringe Fest!

Scuba Mission is premiering our next full show, Gainfully Employed, at the Indianapolis Fringe Festival in just a few short weeks!  We’ll be there doing it Indy on the following dates:

If you’re around Indy or have friends in those parts, tell them to come check us out.  We promise to be on our most performance-like behavior!
