Did you know that we’ve been shooting something for the last month? Well, we have. We’re telling you now. So the next time we ask you, you can say yes.

We started discussing and plotting at the end of last year to do a longer thing, an actual pilot, instead of the shorts that we normally do. Turns out, putting together a pilot takes some work! It requires people and places and all sorts of other things that we weren’t generally using for our other videos. So we took a couple of weekends in April and went out and shot and reshot and reshot some more until we got something that we feel represents what it is we’re trying to do. Which, as you know, generally involves being idiots.

Take a peek at the trailer above, there’s more stuff coming in the next few weeks leading up to the premiere in June. SHARE IT AROUND IF YOU SO PLEASE.

Our friends in Oh Theodora asked us to come out and show a video for the March edition of their Show Theodora, a fun comedy/variety show that happens every month at Fizz Bar in Chicago. While it was a live premiere at the time, we thought Mother’s Day would be the perfect day to share it with the rest of the world since we go to great surgical lengths in this video to play a hilarious prank on Colin’s mom.

And for those of you who have sent us concerned e-mails…we got the reversal surgery. Everything’s fine.

During our time in Indianapolis, Scuba Mission stopped by the NCAA Hall of Champions. That means that in two trips to Indy, we’ve filmed segments at two museums (this one and the Children’s Museum). WHAT’S NEXT, HUH MUSEUMS?!

Shawn Bowers and Colin Hogan performed for only a handful of people on IndyFringe’s opening night, which is a shame because they delivered a hilarious sketch show that would have generated laughter heard up and down Mass Ave had it been in front of a full house. The two Chicagoans demonstrate mighty improv talent and strong chemistry during a series of fast-paced sketches exploring working life and under-employment. Of particular appeal  and absurdity  is the “Surf Shirt Lawyer/Volleyball Attorney at Law” sketch. Perhaps the 10:30 start time is to blame for the sparse opening night crowd. Whatever the case, add this show to your must- see list. - Matt McClure

Last night, I was going through an old notebook and came across a list of names from back when Scuba Mission was first forming. For those who were wondering, the name Scuba Mission was born from an overly scientific system of combining words that sounded good together until we found something that stuck. But what if we hadn’t have ended up on that particular combo?

Scuba Hits Indianapolis!

Last weekend, Scuba finally got to go on that road trip we’ve been itching for. A good friend of ours, Briana Hansen, was taking her one-woman show Femoir to the IndyFringe Theatre in Indianapolis for a weekend of shows and invited us to come along and do some of our favorite sketches for a new set of eyes. Needless to say, we were a little worried.

“Does our brand of stupidity play everywhere? Do we even have a brand of stupidity? How many babes will be there?” All of these were burning questions on our collective mind, but after two nights of shows, a stop at the Children’s Museum, some amazing soul food and the hospitality of a great local theatre, our fears were allayed.

Video of the performance is coming soon. But for now, a quick treat…Briana’s mother was kind enough to let us crash at their place and cooked way too much food for us to eat over the course of the weekend. As a thank you for the generosity, we gave her our very first piece of merch. Collectible junkies, hold your butts, because we’ve already given away the very first SCUBA MISSION COLLECTIBLE TEAPOT.

Yeah. Eat it, eBay.
